ISLAMABAD: Awami National Party (ANP) leader, Senator Shahi Syed has strongly condemned bomb attacks on anti-polio teams in Jamrud district of Khyber Agency and expressed immense grief over the loss of innocent lives – ARY News reports.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Senator Shahi Syed labeled the attacks on anti-polio teams as injustice done to the humanity. He stated that the terrorists targeting innocent people worth not to be called as humans.
Syed continued further that the fire of terrorism has engulfed the entire country and it needs to be rooted out completely.
He demanded the Government and law enforcement agencies (LEAs) to arrest the wicked elements behind the incidents.
Earlier today, three attacks at polio vaccination campaign in Jamrud in Khyber tribal region claimed 12 persons including a child and personnel of Levies and Khasadar force.
Bomb attacks in Lashoro area of the region’s Jamrud district targeted the campaign to get rid of the crippling disease in Pakistan, one of the three countries where polio has been a major public health threat. Other two countries are neighboring Afghanistan and Nigeria.
