KARACHI: Pakistani star cricketer Shahid Afridi on Friday called on the former president general (retd) Pervez Musharraf at his residence in Karachi, ARY News reported.
Afridi inquired after the ailing mother of Musharraf during the meeting. He said he had been meeting the former president in the past as well.
The ex-captain said his meeting with Musharraf must not be misinterpreted on different grounds.
“Being a Muslim, it’s necessary to inquire after an ailing person,’ he explained.
Afridi is scheduled to fly Lahore next week where he will participate in a training camp arranged by the Pakistan Cricket Board.
