After marrying each other in a low-key and mostly family function, Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor and Delhi-based girl Mira Rajput returned to Mumbai. For all events leading up to the wedding, such as Shahid’s Sangeet and the wedding itself, only close family members were invited for the event. However, the wedding reception to be hosted on July 12 will be attended by well-known celebrities from the Indian film industry.

Shahid Kapoor’s wedding reception cards have been designed by Delhi-based artist Ravish Kapoor and are in midnight blue colour. A source close to Ravish Kapoor disclosed that Shahid was very much keen on the colour selection.

“Shahid Kapoor was very clear about what he wanted for his reception. He did not want the traditional celebration, but wanted it to be a party that people enjoyed and were excited about. He wanted the card to convey that feeling and he definitely wanted it in midnight blue,” said the source.

“Centered in the card is a chrome plate that contains the event information, this plate can be removed and is carried by the guests to the event, which doubles up as the security pass. The details are made of silver-plating, which gives the card a cool elegant sophisticated feel. Below the invitation are more details including the request for ‘no gifts, only blessings’, it was very important to Shahid that people did not feel the need to have to get him gifts,” the source added.

Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor had also taken to Twitter in a bid to thank everyone for their wishes on his marriage.

Looks like everything, from Shahid’s wedding affairs to his reception cards, have been kept simple and elegant. Best of luck to the married couple!
