Shahid Kapoor is one of the most talented actors in the Indian film industry at the moment. And, he had a lot going on for him, since he recently got married to Delhi-based beautiful girl Mira Rajput. Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming movie opposite Alia Bhatt titled Shaandaar was all set to make a splash at the box office. Unfortunately for the recently-married actor, it completely bombed!

So dejected was he, that Kapoor was very upset with the film’s crew. According to sources, Shahid Kapoor was extremely annoyed since he had went on ahead with the shooting, despite not being completely on-board and in agreement about the script.

“He was never convinced about the script. He did the film for producer Madhu Mantena. The two are close friends. And he agreed to do the film in spite of the flimsy storyline for Madhu’s sake. But now Shahid is fuming. Because Shaandaar has not only failed to deliver the much-needed box office success to his career, it has also brought down the reputation of his father Pankaj Kapoor.”

Apparently, the Bollywood actor is quite upset about the film being a failure due to the fact that it also starred his father Pankaj Kapoor. This is the third time in a row that Pankaj’s movies have failed to put up a show at the box office, since the last two films he acted in such as Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Matru Ki Bijli Ka Mandola’ and Homi Adajania’s ‘Finding Fanny’ also did not do well at the box office.

According to a source, Shahid was more upset for his father rather than for himself.

“Pankaj saab does very selective work. All his recent films have claimed to be quirky comedies. But have ended up being moronic mirthless worthless comedies. More than for himself, Shahid is upset for his dad.”
