KHANEWAL: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan on Saturday said that he has never seen a weaker prime minister ever than Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, while ousted premier Nawaz Sharif has already been ousted from politics.
“I have never see weaker, spineless and corward prime minister than Shahid Khaqan Abbasi,” he said addressing a public gathering in Khanwal adding that the incumbent PM has indebted the nation and has not taken a stance against corruption. “He has even broke the record of Shaukat Aziz.”
He claimed that Abbasi is planning to distribute 940 million among parliamentarians to win the next elections, but warned that the people will not fall for their antics.
Referring to former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the PTI chairman said that he has already been ousted from politics. “Nawaz Sharif, you have been minus already. You have been disqualified by the Supreme Court.”
He said that Nawaz Sharif conspired with then President Farooq Legari to overthrow Benazir Bhutto’s government, but this time there is no conspiracy but instead the Supreme Court took a merit-based decision, and the noose tightened against him. “The grave of your politics has been dug,” he exclaimed.
Imran Khan said that he was bestowed with immense success in cricket, and even more tough mission to set up the Shaukat Khannum Hospital. However, he decried that the incumbent rulers are instead pushing the nation backwards.
“These rulers have taken turns and pushed the nation backwards,” he said.”The criminals have taken over the entire nation.” He decried that the Pakistan International Airlines, once regarded as one of the best in the world, has closed its operations to New York.
” I am convinced people entire nation has awaken to change,” he said. “The people ready for a new Pakistan.”
He said that Pakistan is blessed with immense potential including mountain ranges, and they have been discovered four new valleys in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said that smog in Punjab plains was in fact caused by pollution, which affects 300,000 people per year.
“No one made efforts against air pollution,” he said adding that the smog cannot affect health but also crops. He said the PTI is probably the firsy party which worked for environment, planning over one billion trees in KP which will benefit even future generations.
However, Imran was optimitic and said that things will look upwards in case of their tenure, as they will provide subsidies even to small farmers. He said that overseas Pakistan were the nations biggest assets, and the country will be prosperous if they bring their wealth backm but chose to keep it abroad sue to massive corruption.
“Pakistan is not a poor country but instead needs strong institutions,” he said adding that political inteference was removed in KP to strengthen the institutions, but there will still financial irregularity in national institutions. He vowed to raise 8000 billion in tax revenues, and there will be need to seeks further loans.
He said there will no political vendetta against opponents if they come to power, but rather spend on the welfare of the people, and realise the dream of founder Quaid-e-Azam. “PTI is in a hurry to rid the nation of looters and plunderers,” he said.
