World T20: Shakib's fifty lift Bangladesh to 153

DHAKA: Half century by Shakib-Al-Hasan took Bangladesh to 153/5 in their 20 overs against Australia in their ICC World T20 2014 match at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium at Mirpur on Tuesday (today), ARY News reports.

Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first in the dead rubber game.

In the batting department of the Bangladeshi side, Shakib-Al-Hasan was the stand out batsman as he made 66 runs from 52 balls while Captain Mushfiqur Rahim made an unbeaten 47 from 36 balls. Nasir Hossain made 14 from 10 balls. 

Nathan Coulter-Nile took two wickets for the Australian team whereas Mitchell Starc, Doug Bollinger and Shane Watson took one wicket each.

Australia require 154 runs to win in their 20 overs.
