Sharif family, PPP’s leaders contacting PM Imran for pardon: Hamid Mir
ISLAMABAD: Renowned journalist and anchor Hamid Mir here on Thursday revealed that Sharif family and leaders of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) were contacting Prime Minister Imran Khan to seek pardon for their leadership, ARY News reported.
Responding to a question in ARY News’ talk show ’11th hour’ Hamid Mir said that non-political family members of Sharif family approached PM Imran Khan and conveyed a message of mercy for the family. He further said that PPP’s leadership was also making efforts to get pardon.
Hamid Mir said,” PM Imran and his government have no threat from PML-N and PPP.” He said that both the major political parties are not playing the real role of opposition in the country.”

Talking about the recent barbs and tension in the National Assembly between PPP and PTI, Hamid Mir termed it political show and added that PPP also sought NRO from the current government.
Responding to another question about the fate of Sharif family, Hamid Mir said that it seemed that Sharif could not get any relax or exemption from the court this time hence they were contacting the prime minister for NRO.
