SHC orders Mansha, Atif Bajwa to file reply in 7 days

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has ordered the current Chairman Muslim Commercial Bank (MCB), Mian Mansha and former president MCB Atif Bajwa to file their reply within 7 days, in the contempt case against them – ARY News reports.

The SHC judge, Justice Nazar Akber resumed the hearing of the contempt case here on Monday.

During the hearing, Justice Nazar expressed his displeasure for the non-submission of reply by the parties in the case.

He remarked that even after 20 days have passed since the contempt notices were issued, yet the advocacy papers were not filed so far and today the papers are being filed but not the reply of the parties. He added that the case is pending since 1997.

The court ordered for the submission of reply to the contempt notices issued, within 7 days.

It was further told that if the reply was not filed then Mian Mansha and Atif Bajwa will have to appear before the court in person and get their statements recorded.
