Family members of death sentence convicts Saeed Awan and Behram Khan had submitted appeals against their sentence in the Sindh High Court.

Death convict Behram Khan had killed a lawyer in court, while Saeed Awan had killed a police official.

The appeals of Saeed Awan and Behram Khan were cancelled by the court on the grounds that they did not receive a presidential pardon.

The execution of Behram Khan will take place on January 13 whereas Saeed Awan is scheduled to be hanged on January 15 in Sukkur Jail.

Moreover, Lahore High Court’s Rawalpindi bench on Friday accepted a petition for hearing seeking halting the executions of three death row convicts.

Three persons Khalid Mehmood, Nawazish Ali and Mushtaq Ahmed were convicted for an attack on former military strongman Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf in Rawalpindi in 2003.
