KARACHI: Sindh High Court on Wednesday granted stay over against digging of coal from Thar Coal Block II for power generation project, ARY News reported.
The court summoned the parties for hearing of the case on February 06.
A private firm in a petition in the court contended that it had given lowest bid for digging in Thar Coal Block II but violating the rules the contract was awarded to another company.
It is mentioned here that the Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif and former president Asif Ali Zardari had to inaugurate the coal excavation in Thar on January 31st.
