KARACHI: Chief Justice of Sindh High Court has taken suo moto notice of childrens deaths by measles in Sujawal and Thatta districts of Sindh, ARY News reported on Tuesday.
Zulfiqar Langah advocate in a plea invited the attention of the learned court towards death of 48 children infected by measles in Sujawal and Thatta districts in south of Sindh.
The lawyer said that despite the outbreak of the deadly disease provincial health authorities and the government of Sindh failed to take notice of these deaths. He pleaded to the court to take notice of the issue.
The Chief Justice of Sindh granted the request and converted the application in a constitutional petition and issued notices to the Chief Secretary of Sindh, Secretary Health and other concerned authorities for hearing of the matter on Wednesday (tomorrow).
