SHC verdict to be challenged in SCP, says Qaim

SUKKUR: Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that the verdict announced by the Sindh High Court (SHC) over the amendments in the Sindh Local Government Act (SLGA) will be challenged in the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP), ARY News reports on Monday.

Speaking to media at Sukkur Airport, Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that Local Bodies (LB) Elections in the province will not be delayed however the dates can be extended.

He added that the Provincial Government will contact the SCP after consulting the senior panel of lawyers just as the detailed verdict is announced.
