Shehbaz assures govt of full support on Kashmir issue

ISLAMABAD:Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif on Monday assured the government of full support on Kashmir issue and urged the rulers to bring a joint resolution against the Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir in the National Assembly (NA). 

Addressing the NA session, Shehbaz Sharif said that India has broken all the records of brutalities and barbarism in the held-Kashmir and urged the incumbent government to adopt a solid and effective policy on Kashmir.

He said the international community will have to awake and intervene in the occupied Kashmir to stop the bloodshed of innocent people.

The PML-N leader said that atrocities and violence by Indian occupation forces can never suppress just political struggle of Kashmiris for their legitimate right of self determination.

He also condemned the torture on media worker outside parliament and expressed sympathy with the cameraman.

It is pertinent to mention here that Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on December 17, had condemned the killings of 14 innocent people in held-Kashmir and urged the international community and human rights organizations to take notice of ongoing killing spree of Kashmiris by Indian troops in occupied valley.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Shah Mehmood Qureshi had stressed upon the United Nations (UN) and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to play their role to stop the Indian atrocities in held-Kashmir.
