Sheikh Rasheed fears life threat by TTP, warns Interior Ministry
ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Interior has issued a warning that the MNA and Chief of Awami Muslim League (AML), Sheikh Rasheed has a life threat by Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) – ARY News reports.
According to details, the Ministry of Interior has issued a warning that Sheikh Rasheed is feared to be possibly attacked by TTP. The Interior Ministry has alerted Islamabad and Rawalpindi police that TTP has given task of an attack on Sheikh Rasheed and directed the officials to tighten security arrangements in this regard.
Officials were further directed to beef-up security at Lal Haveli.
Meanwhile, the Speaker National Assembly telephoned Rasheed and insured him complete security in realm of threats by Taliban.
Last night, the AML Chief had tweeted that he is receiving threatening calls and messages.
