RAWALPINDI: As fans struggle to get tickets for the final of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Lahore, Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Thursday succeeded in acquiring a general public ticket for the event.

While speaking to ARY News, Sheikh Rasheed confirmed to have bought two tickets of Rs.500 each and another for Rs. 8000. However, he is  still undecided which will be used but expressed desire to watch the match with the general public.

“Sethi has said that a seat has been reserved in the VIP enclosure,” he said but he preferred to sit with the general public.

When asked about whom would accompany him, he said that it was unlikely that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan, who has criticised hosting of the event will attend it.

He said that he was a cricket fan and has been to Australia, Kolkata and New Delhi, and Sharjah to watch matches. He has also watched a match at Gaddafi Stadium against India.

He said that he is unsure of the the security arrangements being placed there, and said that he will leave for Lahore on March 4. He revealed that his favorite team was the Karachi Kings, but he was also a fan of the Peshawar Zalmi.
