SHEIKHUPURA: More than 20 people were injured when a factory boiler exploded in Sheikhupura on Wednesday, ARY News reported.
According to details, a boiler of a factory — located near Khanpur– exploded, due to which 20 people suffered burns.
A portion of the factory building also collapsed following the explosion.
Smoke filled the factory after the boiler blast. Rescue teams managed to evacuate 35 employees from the burning building.
Rescue sources said that 20 injured were rushed to District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) Sheikhupura for medical treatment.
Fifteen injured were later shifted to Lahore for better medical treatment.
In a boiler explosion in a factory at Lahore’s Raiwind Road in November 2016, two labourers were killed as the roof of the premises collapsed in the incident.
