TOP NEWS

PESHAWAR: Chairman of the Qaumi Watan Party (QWP), Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao while expressing concerns over political instability in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), has insured the forward bloc of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members of his sympathies and support, and said that all the opposition parties will devise a strategy together on the issue – ARY News reports.

Addressing a press conference at his residence here, Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao inquired that how can a party provide relief to the people, which cannot satisfy its own MPAs. He claimed that Pervez Khattak is only the Chief Minister of Naushehra, not the province and all the provincial affairs are being run from Bani Gala, Islamabad.

Sherpao also expressed reservations on the Government's committee for peace talks and said that it has almost zero representation of Pakhtun and tribal people. He added that his party supports dialogue with Taliban, yet so far the negotiations have not yielded any results.

Commenting on transfer of power in Afghanistan, the QWP Chief said that a peaceful transition is a bare necessity there and it is hoped that the new Afghan Government will maintain friendly ties with Pakistan.
