KARACHI: Renowned cricketer also known as the ‘Rawalpindi Express’, Shoaib Akhter has tied the knot with a 20 years old girl Rubab from Haripur, however his family denied to confirm the news of his marriage – ARY News reports.
Former test cricketer and the fastest bowler of his time, Shoaib Akhter married the daughter of a local trader of Haripur, with quite simplicity.
Sources told that the marriage ceremony was attended by the parents and few close relatives.
Shoaib got engaged to the girl, some 5 months ago, however he declined to confirm his engagement when asked media men contacted.
This time again, Shoaib’s brother neither confirmed nor denied the news of his marriage. He said that the former cricketer is currently in Dubai and will return to Pakistan tomorrow, after which he will himself tell the media.
His brother further added that nothing shall be hidden from media and Shoaib’s fans and they will be informed upon his return to the country.
