The court also ordered handing over custody of the accused Qasim to Joint Investigation Team of the Counter Terrorism Department.
The accused was earlier today presented in a court amid heavy security of law enforcers.
Punjab home minister Colonel (retd) Shuja Khanzada was killed in a suicide attack on his political office in Shadi Khan village, Attock, Sunday, along with 16 others on August 17.
Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) had reportedly taken responsibility of the suicide attack on Khanzada. Khanzada was under threat following the killing of LeJ chief Malik Ishaq in July.
