Shujaat asks PMLN not to involve military in political affairs

LAHORE: President of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PMLQ), Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has asked the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) not to involve military in any matter, only for achieving its political goals – ARY News reports.

After holding a prolonged meeting with the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Tahir ul Qadri here on Wednesday, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain asked PMLN not to involve military for achieving its political goals and not to set a new tradition by bringing the Army Chief to the famous D-Chowk, Islamabad.

He said not only the Independence Day is being made controversial for dealing a political issue, but the PMLN is also trying to involve the armed forces of Pakistan into this.

Shujaat said that political affairs must be dealt with politically, and security institutions should not be dragged into all this.
