Chaudhry Shujaat calls for APC to boost economy
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Tuesday underscored the need for an all parties conference to boost economy, ARY News reported.
Talking to journalists, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said that the prevailing political situation was harmful for economic stability. Referring to the train march of Pakistan Peoples Party, he said that some elements were giving preference to personnel interests over national interests.
The PML-Q said that nothing would change by the train march and stressed upon unity and harmony in the current situation. He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan was working with sincerity to bring development in the country.
Earlier in the day, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had begun his train journey “Karvan-e-Bhutto” from Karachi.
Accompanied by a large number of party leaders and workers, the PPP chief boarded a special train at the Karachi Cantonment Railway Station amid tight security.
Addressing party workers and activists before his departure, Mr Bhutto-Zardari had said neither was this journey a protest nor a train march. He added he opted for train journey to Larkana to attend the upcoming death anniversary of former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
