TOP NEWS

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PMLQ) Chief, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said that if Pervez Musharraf is to be tried in courts then the trial should start from 12th October, 1999 and if it is to be initiated from November 3, 2007, then all his aides should also be taken on task – ARY News reports.

Talking to media outside the Parliament House here on Monday, Shujaat said that if General (R) Pervez Musharraf had to be tried then an action should have been taken against all the people, who remained with him during the consultation process.

He added that in this regard, former Army Chief General (R) Kayani, Pervez Ilahi and his own names should also be included.

The PMLQ Chief demanded to omit the word 'treason' from trial against Musharraf for he is a former Army Chief.

Shujaat suggested to use violation of law instead.

Returning to a question, he claimed that he is not in touch with the former President for the past 5 years.

Shujaat further clarified that as such he does not have any soft corner for General (R) Pervez Musharraf, but if injustice is carried out then there will definitely be sympathies for the former President.
