Shujaat, Qadri meet to form grand opposition alliance

LONDON: The foundation of a grand opposition alliance has been laid, as the Chief of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Dr Tahir ul Qadri and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PMLQ) President, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain held a meeting here on Friday – ARY News reports.

Addressing a press conference after the meeting, Dr Tahir ul Qadri vowed to make the country prosper by delivering the powers to the people. He said that the current rulers have been dominating the state, through a 3D system and ending a corrupt system has become an obligation for the people of Pakistan now.

Qadri said that for this purpose political consultation has formally begun from today.

The PAT Chief said that family monarchy was established in the country, by naming corruption as democracy.

On this occasion, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said that electoral reforms are barely needed to fix the system of the country. He termed speaking out against the armed forces of Pakistan as speaking against the state.

Former deputy prime minister, Chaudhry Pervez Ilahi claimed that for the formation of a grand opposition alliance, he is also in touch with Imran Khan. He added that patriotic citizens and parties are worried for Pakistan, whereas Sharif brothers are going to fight the military for the fourth time.

Moreover, Dr Tahir ul Qadri said that talks will be continued with Chaudhry brothers tomorrow as well, after which other political parties will also be taken into the loop.
