Shujaat reiterates Musharraf's trial will not reach any conclusion
LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PMLQ) Head, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has reiterated that Musharraf's trial will not reach any conclusion, whereas it could yield some result if breach of constitution would be the point instead of treason – ARY News reports.
Talking to media on Thursday, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said that no one can tolerate an ex-Army Chief being called a traitor. He demanded a treason trial against PM Nawaz Sharif and CM Shahbaz Sharif for not conducting Local Body (LB) elections according to the constitution.
Commenting on Taliban Talks, Shujaat expressed his wishes for the process to be successful, so that peace could be restored in the state. He told, 'PMLQ is ready to sit beside PMLN in favor of the nation and the state, not for personal gains'.
Speaking about 1.5 billion USD gift by Saudi Arabia, he suggested asking the rulers at what cost this sum was granted.
Moreover, Chaudhry Shujaat advised the Government employees and the people of Pakistan to forget about increase in their salaries and everything, for the Finance Minister holds his own luxuries prior.
