TOP NEWS

FAISALABAD: Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) has appealed the Taliban supreme leader in Afghanisatn, Mullah Umar to prevent them from carrying out any terrorist attacks in Pakistan and also to direct them to accept the state’s writ here – ARY News reports.

According to details, Chairman SIC Sahibzada Hamid Raza along with 100 other scholars, muftis and Ulama associated with the council, in a joint statement, made an appeal to Mullah Umar to entice the Talibans to accept the Constitution of Pakistan instead of an armed rebellion against an Islamic state.

It was said in the appeal that Pakistan has always supported the Afghan nation in all difficult times and urged Mullah Umar to play his role in the restoration of peace here and to force the Pakistani Taliban to drop down weapons and accept the authority of the state.

The release mentioned that the bloody attacks of Taliban have defamed Islam, weakened Pakistan and left thousands of families devastated.

The acts of Pakistani Taliban are against Islamic concept of Jihad, this is why the supreme leader should divert the outlawed group from Pakistan and turn it against the United States rather.
