Sidhu telephones Faisal Javed, says “be ready for a sensational match”

ISLAMABAD: Well-wisher of Pakistan Navjot Singh Sidhu telephoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Faisal Javed few hours ahead of most awaited cricket match of Asia Cup.

As arch-rivals Pakistan and India are about clash in one of the important matches of Asia Cup today, cricketer-turned-politician Sidhu made a phone call to PTI leader and asked him to stay ready to watch a ‘sensational match’.

“It is going to be a nerve wrecking contest in today’s match,” Sidhu told Faisal Javed.

“Cricket between Pakistan and India can bring both the countries closer”, Faisal shared.

It is pertinent to mention that on invitation of former Pakistan skipper and Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, Sidhu had come here to attend his swearing in ceremony. Following his visit to Pakistan, the Indian politician received much furry from his countrymen and was labeled a traitor.

Pakistan and India will take on each other for the first time since the final of Champions Trophy 2017, where the former registered a convincing win by 180 runs.

Pakistan have been constantly playing at the venue of Dubai, whereas, India will be playing in the UAE after twelve years.

Yesterday, Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed played down the hype around Virat Kohli’s absence from the Indian team in the crunch game on Wednesday.
