KARACHI: Sindh government has decided to launch an anti-narcotics campaign in educational institutions in order to eliminate the menace of drug addiction across the province, ARY News reported on Tuesday.
The decision was taken in a high-level meeting chaired by Sindh Governor Imran Ismail where he was briefed over measures being implemented to stop usage of narcotics.
According to reports, participants of the meeting approved decision to initiate an awareness campaign against drug abuse in different private and government educational institutions during its first phase.

An advisory committee will also be formed to ensure the elimination of narcotics which would be comprised on officials from Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), Rangers, police, Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) and others.
The committee will be authorised to monitor the upcoming anti-narcotics campaign.
During the meeting, the Sindh governor said that the present government is taking serious measures for the complete elimination of narcotics. He issued special directives to the concerned authorities for expediting the efforts for countering the challenges in anti-narcotics campaign.
