The committee, in its meeting presided by CM Qaim Ali Shah, decided to hold high-level investigations into yesterday’s killing of two Military Police (MP) soldiers.

The investigations will include officials from police, Rangers and other agencies.

It decided to expedite and, according to sources, expand the scope of operation against terrorists and criminals to interior Sindh.

The meeting was attended by Governor Sindh, Corps Commander Karachi, D.G. Rangers, Home Secretary, IG Sindh and other high-ups.

After the meeting an adviser to the CM for Information told that 8000 men will be recruited in Sindh Police to increase its capacity, while the condition of CCTV cameras in Karachi will also be improved.

“30 new Anti-Terrorism Courts (ATCs) will be established in Sindh and security will be provided to witnesses, lawyers and investigation officers,” he told.
