KARACHI: Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair on Friday administered oath to the seven-member caretaker cabinet of interim Chief Minister Fazalur Rehman in a ceremony at the Governor House.

Khair Muhammad Junejo, Mushtaque Ahmed Shah, Jameel Yousuf, Dr Junaid Shah, Dost Muhammad Chandio, Dr Sadia Rizvi, and Simon John Daniel took the oath in front of a select audience, which included the caretaker chief minister and other higher officials.

On June 2, former chief secretary Fazalur Rehman was sworn in as the caretaker chief minister of Sindh province.

He emerged as the first caretaker CM in the entire country to be selected with a consensus.  Both outgoing Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and opposition leader Khawaja Izhar had agreed on his name.

Formation of Sindh cabinet suffered delays owing to reservations of the Grand Democratic Alliance on some persons whose names were doing rounds as possible members of the caretaker cabinet.

However, caretaker CM Fazalur Rehman assured it that no partial person would made part of his cabinet.
