Sindh Chief Justice blasts NAB officials over tackling of graft inquiry

KARACHI: Chief Justice of Sindh High Court blasted the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials while hearing a petition on graft inquiry against the chairman Chief Minister’s Inspection Team (CMIT).

According to ARY News, the NAB prosecutor during the hearing informed the court that the bureau has completed its procedure of inquiry against Abdul Subhan Memon and sent the matter to the head office for a final decision.

Chief Justice Ahmed Ali Shaikh said you are saying this for a long time now and asked about the case officer of the NAB. The NAB prosecutor replied that the case officer has been on leave.

The chief justice said that now the Director General NAB would have to summon to sit in every case.

The bench immediately summoned the file of the case.

The defence counsel in his arguments said that the allegations against his clients were not proved in the inquiry.

The Chief Justice remarked that everyone claims he is innocent. Why the lease of the land was not cancelled. The plot has been on the prime location of Jamshoro, Chief Justice Shaikh said.
