Sindh Cultural Festival kicks off today

KARACHI: Sindh Cultural Festival starts at the historical place of Mohen-Jo-Daro on Saturday (today), ARY News reports from Karachi.

The objective of the cultural festival is to revive the culture of Sindh and to spread the message of renowned Sindhi poet Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai.

The festival will start in the evening under the supervision of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

All arrangements for the event have been completed whereas Chairman PPP has also reviewed the management for the festival. A 50 foot long and 80 feet wide stage has been made in front of the heritage site for the occasion whereas colorful lights have also been placed in different areas.

Bakhtawar and Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, sisters of Bilawal, along with Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Faryal Talpur along with 500 people from across the country will participate in the ceremony today.

A horse and cattle show, musical mela, Urdu-Sindhi poetry, donkey cart race, deep sea fishing competition, Sufi Basant festival, Ghazal night and Sindh Art Festival will be held throughout the day.
