KARACHI: Sindh Education Minister on Monday dismissed a clerk of a Matiari public college for demeaning treatment with the father of a female student seeking admission to the college, ARY News reported.

This decision has been taken after a video of the father cringing at the feet of Janib Kerio, clerk at Tariqul Maula College, went viral on social media and came into notice of the minister.

The clerk was completely dismissive towards the father when he tried to ask him about the procedure to get admission to the college.

Following an exchange of hot words, the father can be seen touching Kerio’s feet begging for his daughter’s future.

The college clerk reportedly got infuriated when the man asked him the exam schedule and subjects. The clerk physically and verbally abused the man and and ultimately forced him to kneel down and plead for forgiveness before handing him over the form.

The education minister in reaction to the misbehavior, made the senior clerk touch feet of the father in front of him and seek pardon. Administration of the college was also present on this occasion.

He ordered transfer of principal of the said college, suspend another clerk, Kamran Khanzada, and terminate Janib Kerio.

The father said the clerk had refused to give him admission form, while he wanted to save his daughter’s year, but he showed no mercy.
