KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister Shejeel Inam Memon said on Sunday that a campaign to eliminate illegal occupation from play grounds to make new public parks has been started, ARY News reported.
Speaking at the inauguration of Family Park on Sunday at Clifton, Sherjeel Memon said the campaign has been started on the direction of Chairman Pakistan Peoples’ Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Co-Chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari and Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah.
Answering to the questions of media, the Minister said that particular land mafia has illegally occupied the parks, grounds and government lands.
Sherjeel Memon said elimination of such land occupation and encroachments is the top most priority of Sindh government. He said illegal and unnecessary sign boards and bill boards will also be cleaned up from the city.
The Minister revealed that Sindh government will start several development projects including circular railway project to provide better traveling facilities to the people.
