Sindh police’s actions caused a loss of Rs 2 billion to national treasury: NAB report

NAB submitted a report in the Supreme Court of Pakistan today which stated that the national treasury had suffered a loss of rupees two billion due to purchase of uniforms, cars and construction of buildings by Sindh Police, ARY News reported.

According to details, ARY News obtained the copy of the report which was submitted by NAB today at the Supreme Court. The ten-paged report cited financial corruption in the purchase of uniforms, construction of buildings, investigation funds, purchase of vehicles  and feeding charges. The report alleged that kickbacks had also been obtained and abuse of powers led to an overall loss of rupees two billion.

NAB had probed and obtained statements from former I.G.Sindh and seventy other police officers of Sindh police, which included several D.I.G., A.I.G, and S.S.P. officials.
