Sindh Rangers get 90-day extension to exercise special powers in Karachi

KARACHI: Interior Ministry on request of the Sindh government has notified the further 90 days extension in the stay of Sindh Rangers in Karachi.

According to the notification issued on Monday, the extension would be effective from Tuesday, October 18.

An announcement of the ministry said this time the matter of extension of Rangers was decided amicably with mutual coordination.

This should be noted that last time in July, 2016, the matter of Rangers stay in Karachi had created intense tension between the federal and provincial government and it took a while to decide Rangers stay in the megapolis.
