KARACHI: The government of Sindh has expressed its inablity to hold local bodies polls in the province on January 18, in coming year, ARY News reported on Thursday.

The election commission will announce the schedule for local government elections on December 13th (tomorrow).

The election commission rejected the provincial government’s request for further delay in local bodies elections in Sindh.

Provincial Chief Secretary today held a meeting with Acting Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) again and said the province could not hold polls on January 18.

The election commission has said that LB polls in Sindh will be held on Jan 18 as per the orders of the Supreme Court.
