Siraj refers failure of peace talks as state's defeat

PESHAWAR: Ameer of Jamat e Islami (JI), Siraj ul Haq has said that failure of talks with Taliban will be defeat of Pakistan, whereas Professor Ibrahim said that negotiations must be continued in any case – ARY News reports.

Addressing a ceremony here on Thursday, Siraj ul Haq said that the entire nation is in favor of talks and the ones who do not want negotiations to be held, are enemies of Pakistan.

Member of Taliban-nominated committee, Professor Ibrahim expressed his wishes to continue talks in any case. He added that there are some complaints from both sides, for which a sub-committee has been formed.

Ibrahim further claimed that both Government and Taliban committees will succeed in getting a ceasefire announced again.
