Siraj urges PM Nawaz, military to end differences on Taliban Talks
LAHORE: Ameer of Jamat e Islami (JI), Siraj ul Haq has urged the Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif and the military to end differences on talks with Taliban – ARY News reports.
Addressing a press conference at Mansoora, Lahore, Siraj ul Haq stressed on the need of continuity of talks, despite of an end of ceasefire by Taliban. He said that the negotiations process should not be abandoned in case of failure too.
Siraj stated that Government-Taliban talks have casted its positive effects on the tribal areas and suggested the Government to move forth two steps, if Taliban take a single step towards it.
He also emphasized on the need that the concentration of both the Government and Establishment is necessary, regarding peace talks.
The JI Ameer urged the Government to fulfill Taliban's demand of forming a peace zone. He further told that the decision of keeping a portfolio along with the highest party post, will be made by the JI shura'a.
Moreover, Siraj ul Haq also announced to arrange a reception in the honor of a 7 years' Pakistani child who became the youngest Microsoft Engineer.
