Six family members die in Attock roof collapse incident

ATTOCK: Six members of a family were killed as roof of their house collapsed in Arang village in Attock, citing rescue sources, ARY News reported on Friday.

Two women and four children are amongst the dead in the dreadful incident.

After being informed about the mishap, the rescue teams reached at the spot and moved bodies to the nearby medical facility.

The identities of the deceased could not be ascertained forthwith.

In September 2018, four people, children among them, were killed and three others injured when roofs of their houses caved in due to heavy downpour in different parts of Mardan.

According to rescue sources, the deceased and injured were shifted to Mardan Medical Complex for treatment.

A woman and her two children died when the roof of their house collapsed in Faqeer Bantar area of the city, burying them under the debris. A 12-year old girl also got injured in the incident.

In a similar incident, a child was killed while another injured when the roof of their house near Charsadda road caved in.
