Six gangsters killed in fighting with Rangers
The fight between criminals and the law enforcers is continued in Pakistan’s port city of Karachi as five gangsters were killed in a gun battle with paramilitary Rangers near Memon Goth of the metropolis.
The Rangers conducted a raid at a hideout of criminals near Memon Goth. In subsequent gun battle between the criminals and the law enforcement personnel five gang members were killed including Doctor Shoaib, a key gangster of Baba Ladla gang.
Sophisticated weapons, Avan bombs and uniforms of police and rangers were also found from the possession of the criminals.
The Rangers on a tip off conducted a raid in Rangiwara area of Lyari. The members of Uzair Baloch group opened fire at rangers personnel, who killed an accused in counter fire. The slain accused was identified as Salman Lal.
Moreover, unidentified gunmen shot dead a man in Chishti Nagar of Orangi Town in a late night incident. In another firing incident a man was killed near a private hospital in North Karachi.
Unknown gunmen opened fire at a shop in Qasba Colony killing a man on the spot. The eyewitness of the incident who was a friend of the deceased was died due to heart failure after the incident.
A man was killed in another firing incident in Khamosh Colony, while a dead body found from Block-12 of Gulistan-e-Johar.
Armed men opened fire at an electronics shop in Landhi-6 leaving a man Iqbal dead. The incident took place due to extortion demand, police said.
At least four persons were injured in a dispute over land in Shah Latif Town of the city.
