PUNJGUR: Six policemen posted at Panjgur airport for security have been kidnapped, ARY News reported on Friday.

Unidentified abductors kidnapped six policemen deployed at Panjgur airport, in militancy-hit Balochistan province of Pakistan, airport administration said.

The policemen were posted for the security of the VOR system, which determines direction of aircrafts in the air.

According to airport officials, the building housing the VOR system has been sealed.

Airport security officials feared that the kidnappers have planted bombs near the airport and called the bomb disposal squad to clear the area.
