SL cricket board to consider its team’s visit to Pakistan

LAHORE: The Sri Lankan cricket board has confirmed receiving a letter from Pakistan Cricket Board, inviting SL to visit Pakistan for a home series, ARY News reported Friday.

The SL cricket board is ready to help Pakistan revive international cricket on its soil. No international team has visited Pakistan since 2009 militants attack on Sri Lankan team. Sources told that Sri Lanka is invited to visit Pakistan after August 30 this year.

Recently, President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain met his Sri Lankan counterpart Mahinda Rajapakse and asked him to send SL to Pakistan for a home series. Mr. Rajapakse nodded in agreement.

Following this development, the PCB wrote a letter to Sri Lankan cricket board, asking them to play home series comprising a T20 and two one-day internationals.

The Sri Lankan board said it would consider Pakistan's request in its next board meeting.
