Asia Cup: SL spinners restrict India to 264
FATULLAH (BANGLADESH): The decision by Sri Lanka to bowl first against India proved fruitful as they restricted the opponent to 264 at a Asia Cup game played at Fatullah.
The India lost it first wicket on 33, when Virat Kohli came and steered the innings by 97-run partnership with Shikhar Dhawan. Opener Dhawan topped the scorecard by scoring 94 off 114 balls, followed by Virat Kohli 48 runs.
Master Sri Lankan spinner Ajantha Mendis took 4 four wickets, while SM Senanayake got three wickets, giving 41 runs. At the end of 50th over, India scored 264 at loss of 9 wickets.
