Sochi Olympics: Pakistan's Mohammad Karim finishes ahead of Indian athlete

SOCHI: Pakistani skier Mohammad Karim finished quicker than his Indian counterpart as he stood at 77th position in the first run of the Giant Slalom leaving behind India's Himanshu Thakur at 79th position in the Winter Olympics here in Sochi on Wednesday, ARY News reports.

Mohammad Karim, the sole representative of Pakistan in the 2014 Winter Olympics,  finished the run at 1 minute 43.44 seconds.

United States of America's Ted Ligety was the quickest in the run as he finished the first round at 1 minute 21.08 seconds.

Indian skiier Himanshu Thakur stood at 79th place with his time of 1 minute 47.86 seconds.
