SOCHI: The 22nd Winter Olympics have begun in the Russian city of Sochi here on Friday, ARY News reports.
The winter olympic torch reached Sochi after covering a distance of 60,000 kilometres in123 days. A colorful opening ceremony was held at Fisht Olympic Stadium earlier.
More than 80 countries, including Pakistan, are taking part in the olympic games. They will battle for 98 gold medals in the mega event.
Mohammad Karim is the sole representative of Pakistan in the Winter Olympics. He will be taking part in the giant slalom event.
