Sources said Anwar and Talpur assured Dr Asim of their cooperation in the meeting.
On the other hand, the home minister has declined news of meeting with the former minister and said he went to JPMC for MRI of sister of former president Asif Zardar on recommendation of a doctor Prof. Anees.
A few days ago, Dr Asim was granted permission by the court to seek medical treatment at his own expense. His private physicians had recommended he conduct a physiotherapy.
Dr Asim is facing charges of corruption and helping terrorists seek medical treatment at his Ziauddin hospital. The PPP leader has claimed that he is under immense pressure and his doctors have maintained that he is mentally not well. His defence has also claimed that imprisonment has had an adverse affect on his health.
