Sonakshi Sinha: Every cheque I earn goes to my parents
You might associate Bollywood actors and actresses with lavish lifestyles and ecstatic parties. However, there are some who do not quite fit into that crowd and instead, listen to their parents even at this age. Sonakshi Sinha, Bollywood’s A-list actress, has had quite decent earnings from her blockbuster movies such as Lootera and Dabangg.
However, most recently the actress divulged that she is not big on keeping all the money for herself but hands over her entire earnings to her parents. This is what Sonakshi said:-
Till date, every cheque I get goes to my parents. I have few needs so whenever I need money, I ask them”.
Sonakshi also recalled how she earned her first ever pay and immediately handed it over to her parents, and her mother had it framed.
“I got my first pay cheque when I volunteered as an usher at a fashion week. I was still in college then and I was being paid Rs 500 a day. By the time the event ended, I had earned Rs 3000. I gave the cheque to my parents. My mother has framed it and kept it as a memento,” said the Tevar actress.
Sonakshi Sinha debuted in Dabangg opposite Salman Khan and the film went on to become a smash-hit at the box office. Not only did it gross an enormous amount, it also paved the way for her to become one of Bollywood’s most sought-after actresses till date. This is how she spent the amount she received from the movie, in her own words:-
“I gave my first pay cheque from Dabangg, my debut film, to my parents too, after donating a part of it to Salman’s charity foundation.”
The actress is these days busy with the shooting for her upcoming movie Force 2, which is a sequel to the 2011 film Force. Force 2 is directed by Abhinay Deo and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah under the Film City banner. It is expected to be released in the first half of 2016.
