Spanish superstore ‘Condis’ to invest $1 bn in Pakistan
KARACHI: Renowned Spanish superstore ‘Condis’ showed interest to invest up to $1 billion in Pakistan.
A six-member delegation of Condis supermarket headed by the Director Expansion Mr. Jose Manuel Castellano arrived in Pakistan on a four-day visit on the invitation of veteran journalist Azfar Bukhari.
Talking to the ARY News, Mr. Jose Manuel Castellano and Mr. Amanat Ali said that they visited Multan, Jhelum, Rawalpindi and Islamabad to explore the potential of their proposed launch in Pakistan.
Jose Manuel said that Condis is eager to import their line in Pakistan and they will also exports the Pakistani products to Spain for their huge distribution network. He said, “Pakistan is as safe as any other country in the world”.
The Spanish Deputy Ambassador Mr. Fernando Giron asserted that there is a huge potential for foreign investment in Pakistan and the security situation is satisfactory. He said that the Spanish investors would provide new vistas to further strengthening the existing relations between the two countries.
