ISLAMABAD: Taking immediate action into the matter of torture over media workers, outside the Parliament house by Nawaz’s guard, Speaker National Assembly (NA), Asad Qaiser, has ordered to lodge case against the guard involved in the manhandling, ARY News reported on Monday.

Ordering to lodge First Information Report (FIR) into the incident, the speaker national assembly slapped a ban over entering of private guards in the National assembly premises.

“No one will be allowed to enter into the house’s premises along with their private security guards,” said speaker NA in his ruling.

On the other hand, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has also condemned violence on private TV cameramen by the guard of Nawaz Sharif outside Parliament House in the federal capital.

He said Nawaz Sharif did not bother to stop even after the cameraman was injured.

“Rule of PML-N has ended, but the party leaders are still behaving like Mughals,” the minister continued.

“The government fully believes in freedom of expression and is standing with media workers,” the minister contented.

Earlier today, two cameramen were subjected to torture by a security guard of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, when they were filming the PML-N supreme leader during his arrival at the parliament house.

As per details, two cameramen belonging to private TV channels fell unconscious as they were tortured by the ousted prime minister’s guard outside the parliament house, when he reached there to attend party meeting.

The injured cameramen were moved to medical facility for treatment, while journalists’ community staged protest outside the parliament house against the incident.
