Special envoy of Barrack Obama meets Sami ul Haq

ISLAMABAD: Irshad Hussain, special envoy of the US President Barrack Obama, has met the Chief of Jamiat Ulema Islam-Sami (JUIS), Molana Sami ul Haq and discussed with him affairs relating to Taliban Talks and withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan – ARY News reports.

According to details, the meeting continued for 2 hours during which Irshad Hussain discussed different matters pertaining to negotiations between the Government of Pakistan and Taliban, as well as withdrawal of US-led NATO forces from Afghanistan. Sami briefed the US envoy about recent developments in the negotiations process with Taliban.

On this occasion, Molana Sami ul Haq mentioned that nothing like terrorism can be proven at religious seminaries across Pakistan, these madressas are only a source of propagating Islamic teachings.

On the other hand, member of Taliban-nominated committee, Professor Ibrahim said that if all the militant organizations including Ahrar ul Hind, quit attacks then it would be a positive step in the way of success of peace talks.
